Intelligent Autonomous System

Abstract :

The purpose of this research article is to design a lasting solution to an observed problem regarding the emerging innovation of self-driving cars. I observed that society demands completely autonomous vehicles, and in time, this will be a reality commonly faced. However, I also observed that no autonomous vehicle is yet safe to be driven in, or driven around, without any human intervention.
If autonomous vehicles are rushed into production, with the technology they currently possess, to satisfy the market, they will continue to pose a threat to human safety. Therefore, a drastic improvement in the technology, and the systems these vehicles utilize can effectively improve vehicular autonomy in general, rendering them safer to use.

By applying the methodology of combining nature and scientific technology, called biomimicry, I researched different approaches to develop a bioinspired solution called Intelligent Autonomous System (I.A.S.) which can guarantee safety in self-driving cars.
